Turn any PC game into an audience-controlled challenge.

Desktop Effect Host runs beside your game. When a viewer sends a mapped LIVE event, it plays a video, overlays a green-screen character, or launches your own Windows action. The game itself is never modified.

You are one pull away from beating the boss.

A viewer sends a Finger Heart. A loud fullscreen meme covers the selected display for five seconds. You keep controlling the game underneath and the audience watches you try to survive.

THREE WAYS TO PLAY

Choose what each Slot does.

Start with five visible Slots, then add or remove Slots as your show grows. Each Slot can use any of the three effect types below.

Fullscreen Video

Temporarily covers one selected display with an MP4 and its original audio.

SETUP

Build your first interactive effect.

  1. 01

    Open Desktop Effect Host from Launcher

    Keep the app running in the notification area while you play. Double-click its tray icon whenever you want to reopen the settings window.

  2. 02

    Select a Slot and effect type

    Choose Fullscreen Video, Green Screen Clip, or External Script. Use Choose file to select the media or action. Changes save immediately.

  3. 03

    Choose the target display

    Select the monitor that should receive the effect. This is usually the same display as your borderless-windowed game.

  4. 04

    Preview the Slot

    Check its sound, duration, target monitor, chroma-key edge, and behavior before connecting it to viewers.

  5. 05

    Map a LIVE event in Launcher

    Connect a gift or another supported LIVE event to that Slot, then use Launcher testing before starting the broadcast.

  6. 06

    Run your game in borderless mode

    Exclusive fullscreen games can cover ordinary Windows overlays. Borderless or windowed fullscreen lets the effect stay visible without stealing game focus.

Script Slots launch one process for every matched event. The complete event JSON arrives through standard input, including the viewer, event type, comment, gift, repeat count, and future Launcher fields.
